Live Lion Client Platform

The client platform I built for Live Lion Security, a remote video monitoring company. Live at clients.livelionsecurity.com, it replaced scattered per-site WhatsApp groups with one web app for alarms, escalations and camera setup.

Problem & approach

The problem

Every monitored site had its own WhatsApp group, so alarms, escalations and site details were scattered across chats, and the monitoring team was overloaded.

The approach

One custom web app instead: alarm and event intake from customer camera systems through a device gateway, escalation workflows with push notifications, and per-site configurable camera setup, on a tested Postgres backend.

How it works

  1. Event intakeAlarms and events from customer camera systems (Hikvision NVRs) arrive through a device gateway hosted on AWS.
  2. EscalationEscalation workflows route each event and notify the right people with push notifications.
  3. Per-site setupEach site’s cameras are configured in the app, so a new site is set up in one place instead of a new chat group.
  4. Built to growSupabase (Postgres, Edge Functions, row-level security, pgTAP tests), a Cloudflare-hosted frontend, GitHub Actions CI and nightly backups. Now in pilot, designed to scale.
